Employment Committee

 

The role of the Employment Committee is to:

  • appoint and dismiss Chief & Deputy Chief Officers as defined in the Officer Employment Procedure Rules, and determine terms and conditions of employment
  • make recommendations to Combined Authority on the appointment and dismissal of the Monitoring Officer, S151 Officer and the Chief Executive
  • determine employment procedures, including dismissal procedures
  • determine local terms and conditions of employment for employees

 

Members of the committee

The membership of the Employment Committee is as follows:

Mayor James Palmer - Chair of the committee
Councillor Robin Howe - Deputy Mayor (Statutory) and Vice-chair of the committee
Councillor John Holdich - Deputy Mayor (Constitutional)
Councillor Lewis Herbert - Portfolio Holder for Strategic Planning
Two other members of the Combined Authority Board.

 

The quorum is two-thirds of the committee (four members).
