The Business Board LEP for our region helps to overcome key barriers to growth, from infrastructure challenges through to helping create an appropriately skilled workforce of the future. 

Latest projects in delivery include:

iMET – Innovation, Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology

iMET is a new training facility at Alconbury Weald near Huntingdon built with £10.5 million from Growth Deal. A joint venture between Cambridge Regional College and Peterborough Regional College, iMET is working closely with employers across the LEP area to develop training and short courses in advanced manufacturing, construction, engineering, digital technologies and management. The centre was opened by Mayor James Palmer and Huntingdon MP Jonathan Djanogly in June 2018.

Ely Southern Bypass

Construction on Ely Southern Bypass is now well underway, with £22 million from the Growth Deal programme. The bypass is scheduled to open in Autumn 2018.Volker Fitzpatrick are the contractors on site and a monthly newsletter has been created by Cambridgeshire County Council to keep everyone updated.
