An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Services Team at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
The Authority was established in March 2017 as a result of powers being devolved to it by Central Government most particularly in regard to securing major developments and improvements in respect of Transport, Housing, Education and Skills across the region with a vision to make Cambridgeshire and Peterborough the leading place in the world to learn, live and work.
To provide leadership, strategic advice and process management on all procurement and contract management activity across the organisation to ensure compliance with both legislation and internal governance requirements.
To support officers in ensuring that procured contracts deliver against their contract terms and required performance levels without breaching the Authorities rules or relevant legislation.
To monitor and report on all procurement activity in accordance with the Transparency Code, best practice and commercial achievements.
To provide strategic direction for the service and the authority in a manner that facilitates the Mayoral Priorities and social and commercial objectives of the Authority.
