
Team Cambridgeshire and Peterborough drive economic growth ahead of UKREiiF 2025
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority hosted another impactful session of the Driving Growth for the UK series on Friday 14 Match at Cambridge Novotel. This event spotlighted the region’s pivotal role in accelerating economic growth on a national scale.
Inviting influential business leaders, politicians and infrastructure experts, the event served as a dynamic platform to explore the region’s growth potential and align on strategies for national economic success.
The agenda featured sector focused panel discussions on key themes, including the future of Life Sciences and Innovation, addressing the infrastructure gap to bolster regional growth, interpreting the Chancellor’s recent announcements in Cambridge for businesses and leaders and highlighting Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s influence ahead of UKREiiF in May.
Combined Authority Chief Executive, Rob Bridge, also presented an update on the local growth plan, emphasising the region’s commitment to deliver innovations, create jobs and enhance quality of life. High-profile panelists representing industries including Anglian Water, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Homes England and National Wealth Fund all shared insights on how regional growth can deliver widespread benefits.
The event welcomed more than 80 delegates, representing established businesses, start-ups, local government, MPs and national stakeholder organisations – with every guest contributing their expertise to shape the region’s ongoing efforts to bolster national growth.
As excitement builds for UKREiiF 2025 – one of Europe’s largest trade and investment conferences, which takes place in Leeds in May. Team Cambridgeshire and Peterborough continue to position themselves as trailblazers for attracting investment to the region. The Combined Authority will spotlight the region as a prime destination for investors, boasting a thriving business ecosystem, creating jobs and career opportunities for residents, exceptional talent pools and a commitment to sustainable and forward-looking growth.
