Team Cambridgeshire & Peterborough returns to UKREiiF 2026 to showcase a leading UK growth economy

Team Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will return to the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) this May, highlighting the region’s growth potential and its role as one of the UK’s most investable regional economies.

Taking place in Leeds from 19–21 May, UKREiiF provides a major platform to engage with investors, developers and industry leaders. The region will use the event to highlight its growth ambitions, investment opportunities and the delivery of its Local Growth Plan.

Following the success of UKREiiF 2025, this will be the team’s third year at the forum. Bringing together the Combined Authority and its constituent councils, Team Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will return with an expanded, more prominent pavilion.

Across the three-day program, the pavilion will showcase the region’s key sectors and Opportunity Zones, alongside a program of panel discussions and networking opportunities designed to connect investors with a pipeline of opportunities across the region.

This year also marks the first opportunity to present the region’s new Local Growth Plan, which sets out a clear ambition to accelerate economic growth, unlock investment and create new opportunities for residents and businesses.

Paul Bristow said:

“I am looking forward to returning to UKREiiF with Team Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to demonstrate the scale of opportunity across our region.

“Our Opportunity Zones, priority sectors and Local Growth Plan set out a clear and ambitious vision for growth, backed by a strong pipeline of investment opportunities.”

“UKREiiF is an important opportunity to engage directly with investors and partners, and to demonstrate why Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is a place where investment can deliver real impact – supporting jobs, skills and long-term prosperity for our communities.”

Cllr Steve Count, Fenland District Council portfolio holder for economic growth, said:

“We look forward to further light being shone on the economic opportunity in our region as a whole and in the Fens and Fenland, which is highlighted in the Local Growth Plan.

“There’s so much already planned in Fenland and we’re excited to support the development of all the opportunities there are for the prosperity of current and future residents.”

Leader of Peterborough City Council, Councillor Shabina Qayyum, said:

“This is an exciting time for Peterborough. Peterborough City Council, the CPCA and Homes England are committed to working together collaboratively and cohesively to drive forward regeneration and growth to transform Peterborough into a place where families want to bring up their children, businesses want to invest and visitors want to spend time.

“UKREiiF provides the perfect opportunity to demonstrate to investors our shared ambition and vision to revitalize our city of opportunity and transform Peterborough’s future economy into the UK’s next Core City.”

Cllr Sarah Conboy, Executive Leader at Huntingdonshire District Council, said:

“Huntingdonshire is proud to be going to UKREiiF with Team Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. With emerging opportunities in defence and innovation, the district is playing an increasingly important role driving sustainable economic growth across the region.

“We have a strong sense of place, a rich heritage and a strategic location within the Ox-Cam Growth Corridor, which means we’re well-positioned to help investors and developers realise their ambitions. We look forward to showcasing our district to delegates.”

South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Lead Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Cllr Peter McDonald, said:

“South Cambridgeshire is at the centre of one of the UK’s most dynamic and fastest‑growing economic regions. Our priority is to ensure this growth is well managed, so it remains a place where people want to live, work and learn. UKREiiF provides a unique national platform to showcase the opportunities we have here and to have the right conversations about delivering sustainable, inclusive growth.”
