CAMBRIDGESHIRE AND PETERBOROUGH TO CELEBRATE CATCH THE BUS MONTH

This September, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority is supporting Catch the Bus Month, a national campaign led by Bus Users UK to encourage more people to choose the bus.

The campaign highlights the vital role buses play in everyday life – helping people get to work, school, shops, healthcare, leisure and social activities. In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, buses provide essential connections for towns, cities and rural villages across the region.

Throughout the month, the Combined Authority will be sharing information with residents about the benefits of bus travel, how best to use buses across the region and some of the things the Combined Authority are doing to improve bus travel, including:

• Tiger Pass – offering £1 journeys for under 25s.
• Free all-day concessionary bus travel – introduced April 1 in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
• Tiger Bus Routes – Launched in May, serving communities across Cambridgeshire.
• Tiger on Demand – Launched in December 2024 in West Huntingdonshire, and launched in January 2025 in Fenland, East Cambridgeshire and South Cambridgeshire.
