Residents invited to help shape the future of travel through new Micromobility Survey
People across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are being encouraged to share their views on how the region moves by taking part in the newly launched Micromobility Strategy Engagement Survey, which runs from Friday 16 January to Wednesday 4 March.
The survey gives residents the chance to influence how more accessible and flexible travel options are developed for communities across the region. The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) has commissioned TPXImpact and SYSTRA to support the creation of a new Micromobility Strategy tailored to the unique needs of the area. Insights gathered through the survey will directly shape the draft strategy, ensuring it reflects the priorities of residents, workers, and visitors.
Micromobility includes small, lightweight vehicles designed for short-distance travel, typically at lower speeds. These can be human-powered or electric, shared or personally owned, and include bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters, and cargo bikes. As demand for flexible transport options grows, micromobility is becoming an increasingly important part of the region’s travel mix, offering people more choice in how they get around.
The survey takes around ten minutes to complete and is open to anyone aged 16 or over, whether or not they currently use micromobility.
Participants will also be asked some optional demographic questions to help CPCA understand how views vary across different groups. All responses are anonymous, and no individual can be identified.
For full details on how your data will be used, please refer to the CPCA Privacy Policy.
