Team Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will make a powerful case for the region as a top-tier investment hub at UKREiiF this week. With an impressive agenda spanning from 20th – 22nd May, the team will spotlight the region’s unrivalled potential, showcasing why investors should look no further.  

From cutting-edge innovation to outstanding infrastructure, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough stand out as an exceptional choice for forward-thinking investors. Attendees can expect an action-packed programme with 11 events designed to inspire and engage, cementing the region’s position as a cornerstone of economic growth and opportunity. 

The opening day sets the pavilion for key regional insights, beginning with a breakfast event featuring Mayor Paul Bristow. This is followed by an insightful session on ‘Creating strong successful communities in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’, highlighting strategies for sustainable growth and prosperity. As midday approaches, attendees will explore how the region can deliver the modern industrial strategy in a dynamic lunch time discussion. The afternoon then dives into pivotal sectors, focusing on building an advanced manufacturing and materials powerhouse, alongside the essential role of logistics in driving economic success. The day finishes with a critical conversation on the Fens Reservoir, which features Anglian Water, addressing the future of water infrastructure and resilience in the region. 

The second day shines a spotlight on the region’s potential, kicking off with a morning session on the Cambridge and Manchester UK Innovation Partnership, exploring groundbreaking advancements in the science and technology industries. At midday, attention turns to the critical role of improved transport links in driving economic growth, emphasising the need for enhanced connectivity to unlock new opportunities. The afternoon has a session dedicated to how the region nurtures billion-dollar companies, highlighting key factors that contribute to high growth enterprises. The day finishes with the launch of the East of England Investment Prospectus, setting the stage for future investment and long-term prosperity. 

The final day brings thought-provoking discussions on some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities for the region. The agenda then shifts to building communities for the future, focusing on smart, inclusive and future-proof urban development. To round off the event, an impactful session on Powering UK Green Growth will highlight how the region can lead in sustainability, renewable energy and environmental innovation.
