🐯 Welcome to the Tiger Bus Network - Fast, Connected, Convenient

From 27 May, seven brand new Tiger routes will be roaring into action across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. These routes have been designed to better connect our towns, villages, and communities – offering faster journey times, more frequent services, and improved reliability.

Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to school or college, shopping in town or visiting friends and family – there’s a Tiger route for you.

Tiger 1 – Cambridge to Huntingdon Express

Route: Cambridge ↔ Histon ↔ Oakington ↔ Longstanton ↔ Swavesey ↔ Fenstanton ↔ Huntingdon

Operator: Whippets

Frequency: Hourly

Days/Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, approx 6am-10pm

A fast and direct connection between Cambridge and Huntingdon perfect for commuters, students and anyone needing a swift link to the A14 corridor.


Tiger 2 – Newmarket P&R to Madingley Road P&R

Route: Newmarket P&R ↔ Milton P&R ↔ Impington ↔ Eddington ↔ Madingley Rd P&R

Frequency: Hourly

Days/Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, approx 6am-10pm

A smart option for cross-city travel in the North without going through the centre.


Tiger 3 – Fulbourn to Great Shelford

Route: Fulbourn Ida Darwin Hospital ↔ Addenbrookes  ↔ Babraham P&R ↔  Trumpington P&R ↔ Grantchester

Operator: Stagecoach

Frequency: Hourly

Days/Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, approx 6am-10pm

Ideal for healthcare workers, patients, and residents connecting across south Cambridge.


Tiger 4 – Newmarket to Addenbrookes

Route:  Newmarket ↔ Burwell ↔ Swaffham Prior ↔ Lode ↔ Bottisham ↔ Fulbourn ↔ Addenbrookes

Frequency: Hourly

Days/Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, approx 6am-8pm

Ticket Options: Hoppa ticket available for Tiger 4 and Tiger 5 allowing single journey travel changing between T4 and T5 at interchange points along the route.

Improved links along the B1102 corridor – helping you reach Cambridge and neighbouring centres with ease.


Tiger 5 – Soham to Cambridge

Route:  Soham ↔ Fordham ↔ Burwell ↔ Swaffham Prior ↔ Stow cum Quay ↔ Cambridge Airport ↔ Drummer Street

Frequency: Hourly

Days/Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, approx 6am-8pm

Ticket Options: Hoppa ticket available for Tiger 4 and Tiger 5 allowing single journey travel changing between T4 and T5 at interchange points along the route.

Tiger 7 – Wisbech to Chatteris

Route:  Wisbech ↔ Emneth ↔ Outwell ↔ Upwell ↔ Christchurch ↔ Manea ↔ Chatteris

Days/Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, approx 6am-8pm

Reliable links across Fenland and into the market town of Chatteris.


Tiger 12 – Longstanton Park & Ride to Sutton

Route: Longstanton P&R ↔ Willingham ↔ Earith ↔ Sutton

Days/Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, approx 6am-7pm

A valuable new rural connector between communities in Sutton and Longstanton.

All Tiger routes are included in our £1 bus fare scheme with the Tiger Pass, making it cheaper than ever to get around.

Anyone aged 25 or under can travel for just £1 per journey when they show their Tiger Pass to the driver.

Alongside the fixed Tiger routes, we also offer Tiger on Demand. Tiger on Demand is a new, flexible concept for delivering public transport services. Rather than being restricted to travelling along specific routes and at specific times, you can book a journey to and from anywhere within the TIGER on Demand travel zones using any of the virtual bus stops. Please scroll down to view the available zone and stops.

When can I travel?

Monday to Saturday from 06:30 – 19:00. There is no service on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

How do I book?

The quickest and easiest way to book is by downloading the Tiger on Demand app, available on Google Play and App Store. Booking can be made up to 48 hours in advance of the journey.
