Dr Nik Johnson Answers Public Questions During Mayoral Question Time
DR Nik Johnson, Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough has been answering questions submitted by residents and businesses during the new and improved Mayoral Question Time event held on Thursday 12th September 2024.
It provided great platform for the Mayor to hear directly from the community and to update residents on progress against his Mayoral priorities and the Combined Authority’s Strategic Objectives.
The Mayor was asked a range questions including, what steps he is taking to protect the region from rising sea levels, his plans to improve cycling provision in Fenland and what is being done regarding much needed bus improvements for the region. He provided detailed answers for all questions asked, which can found here: Ask the Mayor (youtube.com).
The Mayoral Question Time was divided into two sections, the first being dedicated to questions from the public and the second dedicated to questions from the Elected Members of our Constituent Councils who make up the Combined Authority.
Events like these are crucial for ensuring we remain connected, responsive and transparent as we work together to shape a better future for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Mayor Dr Nik Johnson said: “I’m really grateful to everyone who took part in the Mayoral Question Time. This is what proper, transparent local government is all about. I’m really looking forward to more opportunities where our residents can ask questions of the Combined Authority and me, as the Mayor, about the delivery of our priorities and the priorities of the community.”
