Paul Bristow’s response to Government funding to help end rough sleeping

Government announced yesterday (August 19) £442 million in funding to give people a route out of rough sleeping by Christmas. Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority’s total allocation from this funding is £7,347,983 covering 2026-27 through to 2028-29.

Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Paul Bristow said:

“In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, we will play our part in turning this commitment into warm beds, settled homes and fewer people facing Christmas on the street.
“As Mayor, I will be making sure we use this money where it will have the greatest impact across our region.
“The Government is right to back Mayors, councils and voluntary organisations to do this place by place, giving local leaders the freedom to shape support around the people and communities who need it most.”
