  • Salary Range: NJC Grade 10 - £39,152 - £42,839
  • Hours: Part-time (must work Thursday and Friday)

The Opportunity and the context

🌟 About the Role 

Are you passionate about people and public transport? We’re looking for a Customer Relations Officer to make sure our passengers feel supported, informed, and valued. 

In this role, you’ll be the friendly face (and voice) of our Public Transport team – making sure information is clear, customer feedback is acted on, and that passengers always get the best experience possible. 

 

🚦 What You’ll Do 

Keep travel info up to date across websites, social media & customer channels
📧 Respond to enquiries quickly & professionally
📊 Analyse feedback & suggest improvements
🤝 Work closely with bus operators, community partners & internal teams
📣 Support campaigns & initiatives to promote public transport
📝 Produce reports to highlight passenger insights & satisfaction levels 

What we're looking for

🙋 About You 

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
🎓 A degree (or equivalent experience) in communications, engagement, or public service
💬 Great communication skills – written & verbal
🌐 Experience managing customer-facing channels & digital platforms
📈 Confidence with data, surveys & reporting
🤝 Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with multiple partners
💡 A customer-first approach – always thinking about passenger experience
