Transport

As the Local Transport Authority for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, we are responsible for making sure that people can get around the region as easily as possible. We have a Local Transport Plan that captures our ambitions and commitments for travel in the region.

Our Vision

Our purpose is choice: to make it easy to rely less on the car; to make it easy to move around the region easily in a way that works for you. We believe that our communities, where we live, work and enjoy our spare time, are at the heart of how we plan our transport network. We believe in fairness: in clean, accessible and safe travel by foot, bike, bus and train wherever in our region you spend your time.

Our Mission

We drive to link together the different travel networks in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, through strategy and funding, to make sure that all the different ways that we can travel across the region connect easily and efficiently. We look to do things differently, trial cutting-edge new travel options like e-bikes and on-demand public transport. We see transport as linking the much-needed homes and job options all over our region, and we work to deliver the travel networks these growing places need. We also passionately believe in our role as part of the carbon reduction solution, and the need to improve biodiversity around us.
